I began my process with sketches and studies, next laid in my foundation with acrylics and finished with oils. I took this picture years ago in Nassau, Bahamas and knew someday I would paint it because of the emotion it evoked. I added the flower in her hand to represent how no matter how dark out situation, we all need to hold on to Hope.
