Evening on the Town

This painting was painted on location during the Paint the Town Plein air event held in Marble Falls, TX 2021. It won the Best of Show and sold immediately. I've painted in this town before but never on a sunny day like this one. In fact it took me 3 days, stopping by to paint the same light at the same time of day. I used oil paint on linen. To get to Marble Falls on this road it drops down from a steep hill and in this view you get a great view of the town looking down on to the Colorado River. One amazing view.
