This piece began years ago with an idea about communication between parties and those with different ideologies. It was more of a high-brow socio-political concept that took itself very seriously at that time, and I just didn't have the technical chops to pull off my idea.

After a few years of study in anatomy, figurative painting, composition, etc, I finally felt ready.

However, as creativity often does as we grow older and experience more of life, it morphed into something of a more personal nature. I felt I should focus closer to home, and considered how change will be made on in society only when it first happens in individuals and then branches out exponentially from there. And so, the concept became a couple navigating the nuances of communication and how hard it can be to hear someone else when you really want the floor.
