"Bad Hair Day" is an oil painting of a nest of egrets (very common here in the Lowcountry of SC). After sketching some larger pictures, I focused on one of the new fledglings very anxious for some food from the mother. At that point I needed to zero in for details, so brought my camera into action. I just loved the wild hairdo of that insistent child.
