Lyle Creek in the Faerie Spires

Oil on canvas. Lyle Creek was created in studio after a plein air road trip; multiple studies and small paintings were completed in preparation for larger studio pieces. For this composition, I superimposed Lyle Creek and the cascade onto a range of hoodoos (also known as Faerie Spires) which were located two days drive further west.
